Olivia: To Do List
In High school, it is extremely important to manage your time. Especially with multiple tests and projects coming up, you tend to overlook and miss small assignments. However, if that repeats itself, the constant C on your assignments will reflect bad on both your final grade and dragons grade. Then how can you keep track of ALL assignments, and their due dates? I, personally, use 3 different to do list. I’ve noticed people’s tendency to simply open up “Note” or “Sticky” on their computer, and quickly jot down homework from each class. That way, however, you might not always be aware of the list, or forget if the list gets long. If you have 3 To Do list, with different style and location, that will never happen.

Dennis: Time management is hard. Lets face it. We all procrastinate, and wait until the very, very end to finish our works. However, I will help you to win over the demon of procrastination, and manage your time perfectly to make you a more efficient person.
Use your calendar application, and sync it with schoology. Do that, and the calendar will push the notifications directly for you. Taylor: Make notification settings active in your school email. We often go to our Schoology and check if we have missed out any of teacher’s announcements made after school. Everytime we try to check our Schoology, it requires us to log in with Email address and Password, which can be annoying if we have to do it multiple times during the day. Log into Schoology, click the down arrow button next to your name on the top right, and hit Notifications. Under Notifications, turn on notifications for every option so that you can get updates for any change your teacher makes including test date and group discussion forum. Though you may get a number of notifications from Schoology in your inbox, it is not overwhelming. It is indeed helpful because you will not miss anything that your teacher posts. It is better to get many updates than mistakenly forget other important assessment or assignment. Right? As your year go up in KIS, the importance of time management will become greater. This is something that everyone struggles with, and I once did as well. Time management starts with prioritizing your things to do. One thing that I did was quite obvious but is essential for everyone.
Jinny: Start your homeworks the day they are assigned to not procrastinate. Use academic support and study hall time efficiently. I suggest you to study for APs during study hall time instead of doing your homework. You will truly understand the proverb “Time is Gold”. Even if you have a lot of upcoming tests, if you regularly study for particular subjects on specific time, you will definitely perform or remember better. Kate: time management is very important in your junior life. Because there are so many APs and elective courses that require a considerable amount of time and dedication, you will definitely need to have some sort of a planner that can help you manage your time. My suggestion is that you have a note or a calendar to jot down all the assignments and tests coming up, and set up the plans for everyday. For me, I use a launchpad on my macbook, create stickies that lists the classes I’m taking, and I write any homework that I’m assigned that day. In that way, even though I had a lots to work on, I was able to keep track of things to do, and finish homework on time. It even prevents you from procrastinating; cramming all up on the night before. You can also develop our own way to manage time. By doing so, you will have a successful senior life! :) |
